Handcrafted Green Liuli Glass Tara Statue

This handcrafted liuli glass statue depicts Green Tara seated on a lotus base. Deep green glass at the center fades toward pale translucent edges, revealing the crown, lotus stems, hand gestures, and layered robes.

Meaning & Symbolism

Tara is one of the most beloved figures of compassion in Himalayan Buddhism. Her name is often understood as “She Who Ferries Across,” the one who helps beings cross fear, confusion, and danger. Buddhist traditions remember her not as a distant heavenly queen but as compassion that answers quickly. In stories and prayers, she vows to remain available to suffering beings and to appear wherever help is needed.

Green Tara is compassion in motion. In her classic form, one leg remains gathered in meditation while the other extends from the lotus, ready to rise. The pose holds two truths at once: she is completely centered, yet she is never removed from the world. Her open hand expresses generosity, while the lotuses beside her recall a mind that can grow through muddy conditions without taking on their stain.

The saturated green core of this liuli statue gives the figure unusual depth. Color gathers in the body and thins toward the translucent edges, so the crown, hands, and robes seem to emerge from green light. It turns a compact object into a small, concentrated presence, poised between rest and immediate action.

Meaning for Daily Life

Place Green Tara where you want compassion to remain active and visible. Her poised posture makes the statue especially suited to an altar, meditation corner, or quiet desk used during periods of fear, uncertainty, or transition. The green liuli glass gathers light around the figure, helping the image become a calm focal point for remembering courage, generous action, and readiness to help.
